Reinvested in Our Community

Providing clean energy at competitive prices since 2021.

Santa Barbara Clean Energy (SBCE) is the City-run, not-for-profit, electricity provider for homes and businesses in the City of Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara Clean Energy launched in 2021 to offer customers clean energy and economic benefits.

Clean, renewable energy - produced by solar, wind, and geothermal energy farms - reduces the consumption of fossil fuels and moves us closer to the City's goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2035.

Earnings are reinvested in the community in the form of rebates and incentives supporting home and transportation electrification, reducing carbon emissions from our lifestyles.

Santa Barbara Clean Energy gives the local community more control by providing homes and businesses with clean energy and cost-saving electrification programs.
